Welcome to Roots Education!
Based in New Delhi, and formed by graduates from leading
institutes in India (IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Calcutta, IIT
Delhi) and abroad (The Wharton School), Roots Education
offers world-class comprehensive preparation services
for tests including the CAT for the IIMs, entrance examinations
to other leading B-Schools in India and GMAT for admission
to leading post-graduate schools across the globe.
Roots Education was founded with the aim of helping individuals
discover, reach and exceed their intellectual potential.
For the first time in India, graduates from the top educational
institutes in India and abroad came together to mentor
young talented minds on their way to their dreams. Over
the years, this has taken a more tangible shape in the
development of preparatory programs for various entrance
and aptitude tests such as the CAT, GMAT, GRE and SAT.
The design, development and delivery of each offering
at Roots Education incorporate the best teaching practices
from the world over.
Since its incorporation (on 11th of July, 2003), TeamRoots
has grown manifolds not just in size but also in terms
of invaluable experience and knowledge in the domain of
educational services. With its close-knit team of highly
competent and dedicated professionals, TeamRoots
has successfully mentored hundreds of students and enabled
several to pursue management education from the best B-Schools
in India (IIMs, ISB, FMS, XLRI, MDI, IIFT amongst others)
and abroad.

KEY PEOPLE
Deekshant Sahrawat
Deekshant is a B.Tech. from IIT Delhi and a Post Graduate
in Management from IIM Calcutta. Prior to his MBA, Deekshant
designed power plants for leading multinationals with
BHEL across several continents. With an unflinching belief
in his vision, Deekshant set a trend of sorts at IIM Calcutta
when he opted out of the lucrative placement race and
founded Roots Education. A state-level cricketer, and
a professional song-writer, Deekshant is the lyricist
for India's top hind-rock band, Euphoria.
Mohit Khurana
Mohit is a B.Tech. from IIT Delhi and prior to his instrumental
role in founding Roots Education, Mohit worked with Infosys
Technologies Limited, on various domestic and international
projects, for some of the world's most prestigious companies
such as Pepsi-co, American Century Investments and Anheuser-Busch.
At Roots, Mohit's exceptional inter-personal skills have
made him a favorite amongst TeamRoots as well as
Rooters. Endowed with superlative analytical skills, Mohit
has an insatiable appetite for the use of technology to
enhance service quality and delivery. An excellent cricketer,
Mohit is the perfect example of a teamsman with a never-say-die
attitude.
Nikhil Chari
Nikhil is a B.Tech. and M.Tech. from IIT Delhi and an
MBA from The Wharton School. Prior to his MBA, Nikhil
worked with McKinsey & Co. in India. With McKinsey & Co.,
he advised leading business organizations ranging from
internet start-ups and bio-technology companies to automotive
and steel companies on several strategic, operational,
and organizational issues. Nikhil was also a State badminton
champion.
Pawan Kaushik
Pawan Kaushik - the Mr. Dependable at TeamRoots believes
in leading by example. An MBA from the Pune University,
Pawan "jee" (as he is fondly referred to by TeamRoots
and Rooters alike), has a unflappable temperament that
would challenge Roger Federer's. As incharge of operations,
the stickler for timeliness ensures the best mix of efficiency
and effectiveness to ensure a delightful experience to
all Rooters. Rumours abound that his strictly vegetarian
regime has led to a spurt in the eggless cake sales.
